About the Retreat

Join Cheryl and Sarah  for three nights of yoga and fitness at the beautiful Cattle Shed set in the Peak District. The Cattle Shed is situated in the Hope Valley in the heart of The Peak District, close to the market town of Bakewell, the magnificent Chatsworth House and the beautiful medieval Haddon Hall.

The location is a walker’s paradise; Padley Gorge and the National Trust Longshaw Estate are on the doorstep, whilst the famous climbing edges of Curbar, Froggatt and Stanage are just 5 minutes away.

The retreat includes daily dynamic yoga/fitness practices/training in the morning or early afternoon, in the evening you will be offered a range of practices such Restorative yoga, Meditation, Sound Bathing, we also look forward to preparing a cacao ceremony for you.

You will enjoy nourishing yoga practices for your body and mind through carefully crafted yoga practices guided by Cheryl, whilst Sarah will put you through your paces in energetic work out sessions to work into you body and mind to it's full capacity. You will have the chance to reconnect to nature with walks, runs or maybe enjoying some time to read a book or two.


 You will be able to tempt your palate with delicious homemade meals and snacks and leave feeling rejuvenated, refreshed and relaxed and ready to reconnect with your daily life.

The retreat is catered to all levels of physical movement, you will be encouraged to move to a level that suits your body and you can do as much or little as you wish.

Venue & Pricing


You'll be staying in the magnificent Cattle Shed for your retreat. The accommodation is  set in the picturesque village of Grindleford, in the beautiful Dark Peak. The Cattle Shed is a stylish and contemporary eleven bedroom barn conversion catering for up to 24 people and offering the very best in home from home luxury. With wonderful views of Froggatt Edge and the surrounding valley.


Price based on double shared occupancy - all rooms contain twin beds.

£495 (early bird bookings made before 17th July 2021)

£545 normal rate

£795 (early bird bookings made before 17th July 2021)

£845 normal rate.

50% deposit to secure booking. Payment plans are very welcome, please contact Cheryl/Sarah to discuss this. This can be arranged after the deposit has been paid.

Deposits are non-refundable - in the event the country goes into a lockdown the venue owners will be happy to provide us with an alternative date.

Final balance to be paid 8 weeks before the retreat date, after which, is non-refundable - final payment of the retreat is required by July 26th 2021.

Retreat Includes

  • All meals will be home-made/prepared by a chef.*Dinner will be provided on Monday, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday, Breakfast will be provided before your departure on Thursday

  • Yoga equipment will be provided (such as blocks and straps, equipment will be cleaned and quarantined in advance and you'll each be given equipment for your personal use). Its suggested you bring your own mat for hygiene. Cheryl's happy to help provided suggestions if you need this. 

  • All training equipment will be sterilised between sessions

  • You'll be invited to join us in a cacao ceremony

  •  Support will be given by Cheryl and Sarah throughout your stay

  •  Daily nature hikes

  •  Daily fresh fruit is available throughout your stay

  •  24 hour tea and coffee bar

  • An on-site masseuse will be available for you to book in advance of your arrival or whilst we're away

The retreat will begin on Monday 20th September.

Healthy nutrition is key and we want all of our guests to experience the richness of freshly prepared vegan/vegetarian cuisine.

Cheryl and Sarah along with a outside caterers will be preparing the food for you throughout your stay. Both Sarah and Cheryl love preparing food, they're both really passionate about creating healthy, nutritious food. Their Maltese heritage has a big influence in their interest in food, where every meal is an event for the coming together of family and friends. We're looking forward to providing you with nourishing food for the weekend with a well thought out home-made plant-based menu.


Both Cheryl and Sarah have been vegan for a few years and pride themselves on their creativity and ability to source fresh ingredients and make delicious food.

Cheryl loves making sourdough so we'll aim to get some sourdough made whilst we're there.

About Cheryl

Cheryl will be guiding the Yoga part of the retreat, guiding you through energetic, sweaty Vinyasa flows and  gentle, calming Restorative yoga, weaving in Nidra and Nadi to guide you during your time on your mat. 

Cheryl found a yoga practice during her time in South Africa. She was immediately drawn to the practice for the juxtaposition it offered, a discipline that delved into her heart and mind whilst building mental and physical strength in a non-competitive, self loving, accepting way. 

Cheryl teaches yoga from the heart and offers a warm and light approach to the practice whilst weaving in the spiritual elements of the practice, including meditation, pranayama and Nidra practices. She is also an anatomy enthusiast and loves to integrate her understanding into her teaching.

Cheryl attained her L3 diploma, 200 hrs yoga teacher's training (YTT) in 2011 with a CQY Accreditation . Cheryl completed her advanced 300 hrs YTT with YogaLondon in spring 2021. Cheryl loves to learn about yoga philosophy to understand the depth of the practice as a way to understand herself better. Cheryl has trained in Pre/Post Natal Yoga, Kids Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga and Sound healing to offer a well rounded experience and yoga practice. Cheryl's teaching is inspired by various styles of yoga including Astanga, Dharma, Sivananda and Bikram. She is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and feels blessed to be able to share the amazing practice with people like you.

About Sarah

Sarah is a highly skilled fitness trainer with years of experience in the field. Having had a love for exercise and movement from a very young age, Sarah left her corporate marketing role to pursue a career in personal training and hasn’t looked back since. As a successful mobile PT Sarah has managed to build a strong business off her passion , discipline and determination to get people active and healthy, both mentally and physically. A favourite saying being your body will only go where the mind lets it!

Sarah is great at being able to push you to a point that is challenging for you but still manageable. Her passion for fitness and exercise shows through the energy she delivers in her teaching. What she does not know about form and technique in exercise is not to be known!

Sarah will deliver classes which will encourage, push you and teach you. She is always creating new and exciting exercise classes and moves that will challenge and keep you focused. Under her watchful eye be ready to dive in to the exercises with great form and technique.

COVID-19 Procedure

Your safety and well-being are paramount to us during your stay. The property has a comprehensive COVID-19 cleaning guidance which we will adhere to during our stay at the property.​​

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: With the easy and free access to lateral flow tests now available in pharmacies, we ask all guests to take 2 lateral flow tests prior to coming on the retreat. One 24 hours in advance of arrival and a second one will need to be conducted on arrival in your vehicle. We know this isn't ideal we'd loved to just give you a big hug on arrival but in order to keep everyone safe and for peace of mind we would appreciate you complying with this. If the result is positive 24 hrs before you have time to get a PCR test to confirm a positive test result. By doing this we can attempt to create COVID safe retreat.

The Government rules in relation to COVID are constantly being updated and are therefore subject to change. We will continue to update this page with more information as and when we can, but in the meantime, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your understanding and support.
