Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself - Rumi

A little bit about me

Cheryl teaches from the heart and offers a light-hearted approach to yoga whilst weaving in the spiritual elements of yoga, she is an anatomy enthusiast and loves to integrate this element into her teaching. She includes meditation and pranayama (breathing) at the start of each class to help students to move out of their minds and into their body.

Cheryl is currently studying towards her 500 hrs advanced teachers training qualification. Adding an additional 300 hours onto the existing 200 hours of training, it's a massive undertaking but such an amazing opportunity to continue to learn more about this beautiful practice.

After more than 10 years of working in digital media and having 2 children she knew the time had come to change her path, she left media in 2017 to start teaching full time. She is passionate about teaching and feels honoured to be able to share this incredible practice.

After having 2 children it felt like a natural path to integrate this element into her teaching spectrum. She undertook her Pre and Post Natal teachers training. Cheryl feels honoured to be able to guide and be part of the pre-natal preparation of mums-to-be. She loves babies so much so it is such a joy to be able to share her yoga teaching to help new mums on their path of motherhood, within mum and baby yoga classes.

Having always been naturally drawn to strong cardio exercise; completing marathons and triathlons, she has always been drawn back to the healing power and serenity that yoga offered, an opportunity to disconnect from the world and tune into within.

She enjoys everything yoga has to offer and has enjoyed practising Shivananda, Vinyasa flow, Astanga, Dharma and Bikram, practising with wonderful teachers all over the world. She is inspired by all these forms of yoga and incorporates this into her teaching.

Cheryl is fortunate to teach the majority of classes from the heart of her home,  which she shares with her wonderful and talented husband and their 2 gorgeous little girls. It feels very special to be able to share her home space with students, and feels privileged to be able to teach and share the wonderful practice of yoga with the lovely people who attend her classes.
