About the Retreat

RETREAT to the incredible Archipelago island of Malta, in the heart of the Mediterranean with Sarah and Cheryl in May 2022. The island is home to some of the oldest temples in the world, such as the Megalithic Temples of Malta.

Malta is a small island in the middle of the Med, steeped in history and magic. Your Maltese hosts will guide you through an exploratory wellness journey whilst we enjoy our time together in Malta. 

 

The vision for sisters Cheryl and Sarah was to take the Glow and Flow retreat to their native island of Malta. They’re thrilled to have been able to manifest this into reality. They have found the perfect retreat location for you. 

 

You will leave your retreat with clarity and clearness, empowered by healthier living from a location that naturally regenerates.

You will be invited to explore a variety of yoga practices; Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Nidra and Restorative for your body and mind through carefully crafted yoga practices guided by Cheryl. Sarah will lovingly put you through your paces in daily energetic work out sessions to work into you body and mind to it's full capacity, classes will be 20-30 minutes long. You will have the chance to reconnect to nature with walks, runs or maybe enjoying some time to read a book or two.

 

 You will be able to tempt your palate with delicious meals cooked by our in-house Maltese chef.

The retreat is catered to all levels of physical movement, you will be encouraged to move to a level that suits your body and you can do as much or little as you wish.

Venue & Pricing

Accommodation 

You'll be staying in the most spectacular villa located in the Southern part of the Island. The property boasts stunning breath-taking views overlooking views of the sea with 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.  It encompasses all the necessary factors to ensure a serene and restful escape for anyone staying in it. 

You will be able to enjoy the majestic rooftop infinity pool area equipped with sun loungers and lounge area. There is also the option to enjoy the indoor heated pool, sauna & cinema room. 

 

Pricing

 

50% deposit to secure booking. Payment plans are very welcome, please contact Cheryl/Sarah to discuss this. This can be arranged after the deposit has been paid.

Deposits are non-refundable - in the event the country goes into a lockdown the venue owners will be happy to provide us with an alternative date.

Final balance to be paid 8 weeks before the retreat date, after which, is non-refundable - final payment for the retreat is required by 20th March 2022.

Single occupancy in private room £1,200 early bird booking made before 1st March 2022, £1,250 normal rate)

  • The retreat will begin on Sunday 15th May.

  • Arrival from 5pm onwards.

  • The retreat will conclude on Thursday 19th May.

  • What’s not included:

  • Travel to and from airports, out-bound/in-bound flights are also not included.

  • Yoga equipment cannot provided due to a shortage of luggage capacity, please ensure you bring your own yoga mat and any equipment you like to use for your practice.

Travelling to Malta is simple with just one international airport, Luqa airport.

The cost of a flight when searching in October is £90 return from London. 

 

Travel to the Villa from Luqa airport. Malta is small so most journeys feel like 20 mins.

Nutrition

Healthy nutrition is key and we want all of our guests to experience the richness of freshly prepared vegan/vegetarian cuisine.

 

The sister team have partnered up with a brilliant local Maltese chef Daniel who (@lifeofmarrow) is a self trained plant-based chef who spends his days working on an organic farm and nights cooking and experimenting with whole and nutritious foods, without compromising on flavour! He is also the author of a plant-based recipe book featuring traditional Maltese cuisine! We’re incredibly excited to have him as part of our team in Malta and are excited to be spoilt by his culinary delights.

About Cheryl

Cheryl will be guiding the Yoga practices throughout the retreat, guiding you through energetic, sweaty Vinyasa flows and  gentle, calming Restorative yoga, weaving in Nidra and Nadi to guide you during your time on your mat. She will also be guiding you and holding the space during your daily meditation practices.

Cheryl teaches yoga from the heart and offers a warm and light approach to the practice whilst weaving in the spiritual elements of the practice, including meditation, pranayama and Nidra practices. She is also an anatomy enthusiast and loves to integrate her understanding into her teaching.

Cheryl attained her L3 diploma, 200 hrs yoga teacher's training (YTT) in 2011 with a CQY Accreditation . Cheryl completed her advanced 300 hrs YTT with YogaLondon in spring 2021. Cheryl loves to learn about yoga philosophy to understand the depth of the practice as a way to understand herself better. Cheryl has trained in Pre/Post Natal Yoga, Kids Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga and Sound healing to offer a well rounded experience and yoga offering.

 

Cheryl's teaching is inspired by various styles of yoga and all the amazing teachers she has practiced with. The styles of yoga she's really enjoyed practicing are including Astanga, Dharma, Sivananda and Bikram. She is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and feels blessed to be able to share the amazing practice with people like you.

About Sarah

Sarah is a highly skilled fitness trainer with years of experience in the field. Having had a love for exercise and movement from a very young age, Sarah left her corporate marketing role to pursue a career in personal training and hasn’t looked back since. As a successful mobile PT Sarah has managed to build a strong business off her passion , discipline and determination to get people active and healthy, both mentally and physically. A favourite saying being your body will only go where the mind lets it!

Sarah is great at being able to push you to a point that is challenging for you but still manageable. Her passion for fitness and exercise shows through the energy she delivers in her teaching. What she does not know about form and technique in exercise is not to be known!

Sarah will deliver classes which will encourage, push you and teach you. She is always creating new and exciting exercise classes and moves that will challenge and keep you focused. Under her watchful eye be ready to dive in to the exercises with great form and technique.

COVID-19 Procedure

Your safety and well-being are paramount to us during your stay. The property has a comprehensive COVID-19 cleaning guidance which we will adhere to during our stay at the property.​​

​

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: With the easy and free access to lateral flow tests now available in pharmacies, we ask all guests to take 2 lateral flow tests prior to coming on the retreat. One 24 hours in advance of arrival and a second one will need to be conducted on arrival in your vehicle. We know this isn't ideal we'd loved to just give you a big hug on arrival but in order to keep everyone safe and for peace of mind we would appreciate you complying with this. If the result is positive 24 hrs before you have time to get a PCR test to confirm a positive test result. By doing this we can attempt to create COVID safe retreat.

The Government rules in relation to COVID are constantly being updated and are therefore subject to change. We will continue to update this page with more information as and when we can, but in the meantime, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your understanding and support.
